The people below have had experiences that taught them about spirit, the afterlife, past lives, psychic events, and other aspects of the greater reality that have changed their lives. They want to share their experiences to help people grow spiritually. If you know of someone who will speak to others about any life-changing experiences, send an e-mail to Craig at email@example.com. We'll post the information here.
Reaching for Joy
P.M.H. Atwater wrote that Ken "reaches out to the disabled or dying, people who were lost souls and had no place to go, so they could be helped, have a place, have a home." His own NDE brought him wisdom he uses to counsel others: "I've been there, and I know my way back." Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana. More . . .

Josie Varga had a wonderful experience that she described to me:
In 1999, my husband’s friend, Rich, sent me a moving story about the death of his father. I included it in my first book, Footprints in the Sand: A Disabled Woman's Inspiring Journey to Happiness. Rich died on 9/11, 2001. Soon after, he came to me in a dream. He thanked me for mentioning him in my book, and I then saw him standing behind his wife and son, who were still alive. He said clearly, “Boston is O.K.” When I woke up, I felt I had to get this message to his wife. After making contact with her, I found out that she had a brother in Boston and was considering selling her home and moving there. But she had been feeling guilty because she had purchased the home with Rich just before his death. The reason for the message I heard in the dream was then clear to me, although it didn't mean anything when I heard it from Rich.
Josie is writing a book titled Visits from Heaven in which she describes after-death communication experiences people have had that provide information the experiencer couldn't know to be true at the time of the visit, but later is found to be true. If you have had an after-death communication containing information you couldn't know that turned out to be true, please send it to her at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit her Web site at www.josievarga.com.
Wise Words from the Deceased
January 27, 1964
Ellen Terry the famous British actress, spoke about the afterlife through the direct-voice medium Leslie Flint:
"Here there is complete unity and harmony and love. Here there is truly brotherhood.
Here there is the wisdom of all time expressed in all manner of ways, by all
manner of peoples, irrespective of any earthly ideas of class, or creed,

They're in Your Neighborhood
A special group of people is in your neighborhood today. One is living next door, and another just moved into the house down the street. In church, they're scattered in the pews around you, and one is singing in the children's choir. Two passed you today at work before you even had your coffee, and another checked you out at the grocery store. You had your last physical checkup from one while a second was filing your chart.
Who are these people? They're wise souls. In previous ages, they would have been given special recognition by those around them because of their experiences; people would have sat at their feet to learn from them. Today, they most often keep silent about what happened to them.
Wise souls are people who have become spiritually wise through experiences of the afterlife, past lives, telepathy, clairvoyance, guidance from above, the Divine, and the great variety of other events that reveal the greater reality to people. Some have been near death and revived with remarkable stories about seeing deceased loved ones and feeling a warmth so loving and peaceful that they no longer fear death. Others have had vivid dreams in which a deceased loved one has come to them with words of comfort, love, and counsel. Some have heard audible voices warning them to avoid something they were about to do, or urging them to contact someone who needs their help; and heeding the voice saved their own or someone else's life. Still others have learned about their past lives or a twin separated from them who has led an exactly parallel life in spite of the separation. These wise souls have had a great variety of experiences, but whatever they were, the experiences changed them and proved to them that there is a greater reality. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience.
These neighbors of ours had an audience with Eternity and have returned with special understanding. In wisdom, they surpass presidents, kings, authors, bishops, Nobel Laureates, and university professors who are learned, but have not become wise from contact with the greater reality. Their wisdom will help others grow spiritually. They're all around us . . . but we don't know them.
We need to know them.
These wise souls have wisdom to bring to us--not in a classroom or through a lecture--but just by sharing their experiences: what happened to them, how it changed them, how it made them look at themselves, life, and other people differently, how it brought them peace and took away all fears of death. Some have been given their stories because hearing them is meant to heal lives, give hope, or help someone make a life-changing transition.
We were meant to know them.
This Web site is intended to let others know about these wise souls in their neighborhoods so individuals and groups can speak to them and learn from them. The locations of the wise souls are included with a description of their experiences. They are available to share their wisdom.
Our purpose on earth is to grow spiritually. Wise souls are our teachers.
Why would anyone want to grow spiritually? There's only so much time in a day, and it could be used to get ahead in life instead of listening to a wise soul. What does growing spiritually offer that can compare with the immediate gratification of getting more material things and having sensual experiences?
Well, let's compare. How does receiving a Ph.D. compare with seeing a gentle tear well from your daughter's eye and feeling her long, warm hug when you tell her she's the most important thing in your life? How does earning $20,000 on the stock market in one day compare to hearing a father from whom you've been separated for 15 years sob, "Thank you, thank you," when you tell him you forgive and love him? How does being promoted to vice president of your company compare to having your family around you as you lie drifting into death, knowing they understand, with you, that you're looking forward with great joy to being out of pain and knowing with certainty that you're about to be reunited with the spouse you've desperately missed for years?
And what would it be like for you if you did get that Ph.D., and you did make $20,000 one day on the stock market, and you were promoted to vice president of your company . . . but you never told your children you loved them and never felt them ignite with love for you; or you never talked to your father again and never forgave him, so you burn with anger at the thought of him; or you lay dying, hearing your family whispering in the outer room because they're afraid to talk about death in your presence while you, cold with numbing fear, are poised to fall headlong into the dark abyss of eternity alone. You would gain the world, but you would lose your soul.
When you sit quietly, alone at night, and consider what's important in your life--acquiring more possessions or living surrounded by love, with no fear of death--what is truly of greater value becomes abundantly clear. That's why listening to wise souls is important.
If You are in Grief

Greater Reality Publications
Induced After-Death Communications
The author of this Web site is writing a book bringing together everything we now know about the afterlife, consciousness, the nature of physical reality, and the psychic into a book to help readers know they are eternal beings having a physical experience.
You can read chapters from the book. Click on the book cover to go to the Web site for the book. Order copies of the book at https://www.writingtrainers.com/greaterreality/grbookorder.html.
Greater Reality Publications will also be publishing The Greater Reality, a magazine about the greater reality that will be much like a Psychology Today in format, with articles for the average person bringing what we're learning about the greater reality to humankind.

Dr. Al Botkin, owner of the Center for Grief and Traumatic Loss in Lincolnshire, Illinois, found that when he used a special form of psychotherapy called eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), his patients experienced after-death communications while sitting in his office. The experience healed their grief, usually in one session. |
Dr. Botkin and Dr. Hogan, author of this Web site, wrote the book Induced After-Death Communication: A New Therapy for Healing Grief and Trauma, describing the process and presenting 84 case studies. The procedure has now been performed with thousands of patients by a number of psychotherapists.
Using EMDR, the therapist is able to bring the person to an open, receptive state where communication with a loved one who has passed away occurs in at least 70 percent of the cases. The communication is real and healing. The experiencer's grief immediately resolves itself and the person most often has the conviction that the afterlife is as real as the material world. It often results in changes in outlook that profoundly affect the person's life.
The case studies in the book will help the many EMDR psychotherapists who have observed their patients experiencing such events understand them better. They are consistent phenomena that require their own classification; they are not aberrations or hallucinations. They happen very commonly and patients describe them using remarkably consistent words that describe strikingly similar experiences--they are real, distinct phenomena.
This remarkable discovery has the potential to change humankind's spiritual perspective and make us as a species more loving, compassionate, peaceful, and blissful, while healing the person's grief quickly and completely.
